Drug trafficking: Court orders Abba Kyari’s transfer to prison


 

An Abuja Federal High Court has requested the migrate of previous police Intelligence Response Team, IRT, chief, Abba Kyari to Kuje jail.


Justice Emeka Nwike additionally requested the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, to move the six others dealing with drug trafficking indictments close by Kyari to the Kuje Correctional Center.


The judge provided the request in the wake of keeping the previous Deputy Commissioner from getting Police close by different litigants bail.


Justice Nwite had held that the NDLEA put adequate materials before it to warrant denying Kyari and different litigants bail.


The court similarly kept bail to previous individuals from getting the IRT, ACP Sunday Ubia, Inspector Simon Agirgba, and Inspector John Nuhu.


Different respondents in the suit checked FHC/ABJ/57/2022, are; ASP Bawa James, as well as two drug dealers that were captured at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu, Chibunna Patrick Umeibe and Emeka Alphonsus Ezenwane.


In the interim, Justice Nwite requested a sped up preliminary of the litigants, fixed for April 28 for the audit of realities in regard of the case against Umeibe and Ezenwane.
