The administration of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, has reported the continuation of academic exercises for the 2021/2022 academic session.
In a round endorsed by the Registrar of the University, Dr. Kayode Ogunleye, on Thursday, named, "Delivery to Staff and Students: Continuation of the First Semester of the 2021/2022 Academic Session", the administration said that academic exercises would continue on May 26, 2022.
The statement, duplicated to significant head authorities of the school, read to a limited extent, "Upon the order of the Visitor to the college, the administration, thusly, illuminates all staff and understudies that the college will proceed with its academic exercises for the primary semester of the 2021/2022 academic session on Thursday, May 26, 2022.
"The revised academic schedule for the semester will before long be made accessible. Staff and understudies are therefore ordered to keep this mandate.
"For the benefit of the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof M. 0. Liasu, I invite all understudies back to the grounds and wish them an emergency free semester."
This was declared in a statement delivered on Thursday by the college recorder, Kayode Ogunleye.
Ogunleye made sense of that the resumption was for the continuation of the academic exercises for the First Semester of the 2021/2022 academic session.
"Upon the order of the Visitor to the University, the Management therefore illuminates all staff and understudies that the college will proceed with its academic exercises for the First Semester of the 2021/2022 Academic Session on Thursday, May 26, 2022.
"The corrected Academic Calendar for the semester will before long be made accessible. Staff and understudies are therefore ordered to keep this mandate," the Registrar coordinated.
Review that ASUU expanded its three months' old strike by an additional 12 weeks.
ASUU President, Emmanuel Osodeke, had said this was to give the government additional opportunity "to determine every one of the exceptional issues agreeably."
"The Federal Government has been horribly misusing the emergency, handling clumsy, self-important clergymen, and treating the training area with scorn. It needs to act rapidly to end the stalemate, satisfy its commitments and convince the wears to continue work right away," Osodeke, ASUU pioneer, had said.
LAUTECH is claimed by the Oyo State government, and it was established on April, (quite a while back).
