Kebbi State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency has inaugurated members of a commission that will help drive the perpetration of the state’s contributory healthcare scheme.
The gateways forum commission members are to help give quality healthcare services to the people of the state.
The Administrative Secretary of the agency,Dr. Ja’afar Muhammad- Augie, while inaugurating the commission in Binrin Kebbi on Tuesday, said it aimed at addressing some challenges encountered by the agency in the state.
He said, “ The overall end of the Basic Health Care Provision Fund commission is to significantly move the people of the state towards achieving Universal Health Care.
“ They're both grounded on the current National Strategic Health Development Plan II( 2018- 2022) in the medium term and the long- term pretensions for UHC, including the health- related pretensions. ’’
Muhammad- Augie said the commission had been functional but informal, adding that Primary Healthcare Development Agency and KECHEMA inaugurated the commission to address challenges encountered in 2021 by the healthcare provision fund.
“ Though we haven't been having regular meetings, I'm sure the meetings are going to be regular on important issues that are going to be addressed as the heirs are each and sundry in the state.
“ thus, the gateways forum is presumed upon the ideal to promote community among the gateways, good collaboration among the enforcing gateways, and for the gateways to agree on a common thing.
“ Others are to foster concinnity and good working relationship towards achieving the set standard of BHCPF as well as steering a thing to achieve UHC, ’’ he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the commission’s members were drawn from state PHCDA, KECHEMA, and original government areas.
Those at the induction included representatives of USAID, the National Health Insurance Scheme, and the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency.
